As principal of Hatch-Colasuonno, Luis has been a faculty member at CalPoly, Pomona, a visiting scholar in the Graduate School of Philosophy at UCLA, and an Adjunct Professor at Woodbury University. Luis’ involvement with the profession began with his first interior design project and art installations at the early age of 14 years old. Since then, he has endeavored to understand and translate the sets of concepts, hopes and necessities that are present in the idea of architecture into specific three-dimensional designs. He believes that our environment is one of the main elements in the formation of individuals and culture, and that communities grow out of the particular relationship between people and meaningful places.
